We went to Africa's most westerly point before moving on to Gorée island. The slave trade was based there for about 350 years but it is now home to a small community of just over 1,000 people and a lot of shops selling tourist goods. It was a beautiful day with mostly clear skies, crisp air and bright sun. I had lunch outside and didn't need a warm coat. The countryside is absolutely gorgeous and well worth a future return visit.
